Take a brush and paint a scene
Of all you hope to be,
Give it colours of a hue,
The likes no one has seen,
Give it shape and texture,
A life of all its own,
Throw such splashes of love,
The likes you’ve never shown,
And then, at end to stand before,
And gaze into its eyes,
And see yourself through tears,
Shedding so the guise
With which you carry so, your hurts
And feelings of despair,
Wear your portrait on your sleeve,
And find yourself in air.
