A trumpet sounds a note,
Solitary, and of a cheer
Mellow, thoughtful, lonely,
A vibration of utter fear.

It calls us all to follow,
And echo sentiments of dread,
It asks us not to stand up bold,
But hang our heads instead.

What does it take to learn a tune,
To memorise by heart,
To thus inspire others,
And, of wisdom, thus impart?

I know a tune of Heaven,
It plays in Angel rhyme,
It gives us hope and faith renewed,
And the life we yearn in time.
