Namibia
Digging trenches in the sand,
And full to brim of dust,
The earth is parched and dirty,
And the sun is left to lust
And pry, to take the sky,
Bold and round and pure,
And dominate at every stage,
And ask us to endure
A painful lesson as we will,
At least so we be heard,
When, at once, our lips apart,
We speak what is of Word
True and centered, of a Spirit
Likened to the One,
Who will bring the rains again,
To cleanse us as the Son.
