Accessibility, Usability and Inclusion Statement

Accessibility

The author aims to provide content in a format that reaches the widest possible audience.

With this objective in mind, the website has been hand-coded by the author to meet the latest standard of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 to the highest and most optimal AAA level.

There is an ongoing commitment to improving the website to meet changing web accessibility standards.

Usability

The content has been designed with the user in mind to help provide an effective, efficient and enjoyable experience.

The User Interface (UI) design and front-end development (HTML, CSS, and minimal Vanilla JavaScript) have been kept as simple as possible. This has resulted in a minimalist, mobile-first design that minimises content dispersion on desktop devices.

Open-source tools such as Google Lighthouse and PageSpeed Insights (PSI) are regularly employed to help improve the quality of web pages. Currently this website achieves audit results of 100% across all four tests:

Inclusion

The content presented is inclusive across race, culture, ethnicity, gender, sex, sexuality, religion, and ability.

The author acknowledges the Bunurong People of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of this land, and pays respects to their Elders, past and present and emerging.
