When a country knows its will,
And abandons it to be
All at once at One with God,
It knows the secret of eternity,
And amply of impression,
All of Heaven’s fruits are laid
Before a people hungry,
And of thirst e’er long, portrayed.
Why is power such a fear,
When love and wisdom true
Stand as pillars of the Truth,
And support the will so too?
Yes, the past has paid its due
To leaders of the time,
But now we stand free from sin,
To greet a Saviour Divine.
