Today the sun is beating down,
It’s rays are strong and bold,
And thirsty as we stand below,
Such warmth and love behold.
To stand with arms outstretched above,
To try with all our might
To touch the source of all that lives,
To bring some light in sight,
But as we may, we cannot grasp
The significance of it’s hue,
We search without for comfort,
To receive what we are due.
The truth is that within us all,
Right at the very heart,
Is a sun god of a spiritual quest,
With wisdom, loving, to impart.
