Speeding past the goal of life
To race to finish first,
Is a nation which is rife
With all of that which causes thirst.

The aim of self-betterment
Is that we can, of cheer,
Be resting still of nature calm,
And be, both far and near,

A pillar of such strength and purpose,
And mighty in an effort so,
To stall the engine of the planet,
To focus on the ample flow

Of the oil of earthen treasure
Welling upward from within,
To capture so the essence there,
And to dress of God akin.
