Cold, the dark, foreboding cloud
Which hovers just above,
It follows so the footsteps
Of a Man, at peace with love,
And acts as a mighty shadow
To protect him from the rain,
Which, when it pours so effortlessly,
Causes such a strain.
But in the midst of Winter,
This dark foreboding cloud,
Plays a part so mighty,
And echoes of thunder loud.
You see, the truth is just beyond,
And though no eyes can see,
The cloud is shielding a promise
Of a sunlit time to be.
