Dominica

Uprising in the morning light,
As dew drops fade from view,
A ball of energy so bright
Casts an eye on you.

And as you stand amidst, it’s rays
Of love and wisdom flow,
And beckon you to follow
It’s lead, where’er you go.

And though the light does burn,
And blind you from the sight,
You know that as you follow,
The trail is good and right,

And in the end becomes you,
As you become the night,
Behold the truth of that our Sun,
And know that light is might.
