Djibouti
Resting on a hilltop,
Looking out to sea,
And all the ocean’s colours,
Fade far and wide to be
At one with Heaven’s blanket,
The sky so far beyond,
Up high into the clouds above,
So soft and homely, blond.
What to make of moment
In space and time so tasked,
Where is the midpoint of illusion,
How do we, thus basked,
Determine fate from fact,
And reality from fear?
The answer lies within the Star
Which shines ahead so clear.
