Central African Republic
Shameful as it seems this day,
A nation old and weary,
Who lacks the basic essentials,
Who asks again for the teary
To weep some more unaided,
But simply bolstered there,
It seems a grand misnomer,
It seems so clearly unfair.
But truth has ways of wisdom,
And underneath the shame,
Lies a heart of gold,
And a lesson for all whose game.
You stand bereft of all,
And yet you teach us much,
We bow to you in reverence,
And know God has your touch.
