“More’s the pity”, is the cry
Which echoes in our Heaven’s sky,
Where’s the love which will impart
The Will of God from heart to heart?
The answer lies in muddy pools,
And gives of hope renewed,
It lies thus dormant in the Winter,
Awaiting growth in Spring to choose
Just how a nation can protect,
And give of peace to all,
Just how one can be free at last,
And join in song with gall.
Take to rooftops in the streets,
And laugh at dawn of day,
See with eyes internal,
Just what will come, and pray.
