Tanzania
What will become of deserts,
When the rains embalm the earth,
What will the oceans represent,
When the salts are dissolved of worth,
And will the people blend,
And mellow so their art,
Will they meld together,
And create a Oneness to impart?
Take a canvas oiled of hue,
And wash it with a residue,
See the colours run amuck,
And produce a dull, lack-lustre ruck.
But in the monotone portrayed,
There is an elegance and style,
Which does reflect a greater glory,
Which was with us all the while.
