El Salvador
Knotted in a tree of wood,
At core, it is so dense,
But a mystery behold is found
When one looks without pretence,
Of ageless wisdom so refined,
Of lessons learned intense,
Of love imparted in a time
When one was captured thence.
Take not to felling all that grows,
But leave it grow it’s course,
Watch it mellow and mature,
And learn from it’s discourse.
And then, in time, when you have passed,
And others look on by,
Your rings of growth will be outstanding,
And mark of teachings high.
