Colour is an energy perceived by the eye, but it is present only because of our perception, and is limited by our instrument of human form. Far greater than the spectrum that we see, however, is the vast and largely unimaginable vista of all eternity.
Trying to describe a colour of a certain hue to one who has never seen the light of day is difficult to say the least. But if you can imagine tackling such a task, then you can begin to understand the enormity of the universal aim to show man the oneness of all life, its truth and beauty, unity and plan.
Each and every one of us is part of something more, and just because that something greater than oneself lies outside of the perception of one’s senses meek, does not mean it does not exist at all; indeed, there would be no need for hope if this was all that was. Dreams would never dare to fly, nor fish to swim. We would all fade into a non-existence far removed from here.
Take some time to appreciate the colour of the sky. Travel, if necessary, to another place to remind yourself of the intensity and limitlessness of such a vast expanse above. Wait for a sun-filled day, without a cloud bespeckled there. Be sure to avoid polluted air. And then lie on the ground and simply gaze into the sky.
Fall in love with the freedom and potential for the unexpected. Feel yourself at home once again. Then do likewise for all the colours you have come to know. You do not need to see in order to understand the magnitude of colour, and its influence throughout this land.
