October

There is no greater story
Than the timeless tales of old,
The truest truths that echo
Of soundless sounds, behold

The light that shines eternal
And shows the way ahead;
The path revealed, step by step,
That takes you where you’re led.

All that flitters beneath the sun
Is of mortal coil at best,
Distractions intended to direct you
Inward to take the test

That determines thus your purpose,
To show you what you’re worth,
To give you courage and endurance,
To push ahead and birth

A newfound wealth of creativity
That captures the hearts of all,
And directs the mind thus higher,
To rise above, not fall.
