The work one does internally to clear the past from view goes largely unnoticed by others who continue to see the same old friend they always knew, and to some extent, the same is true of one’s own view of self, despite the change.

And reactions appear to manifest, just as they’ve always done, to news and events occurring in the now. But when one has emptied the closet of the past ghosts of time, there is a significant difference to the reactions one experiences. And it takes time to understand this fact. The point of difference is that no more does one focus on the personal, emotionally. Instead, whilst there may still appear to be an emotional undercurrent present, that solar plexus stimulation is not of self, but rather that of others with whom one has an interaction, a bond of some kind strong enough to influence and stir the otherwise calm waters of one’s feeling nature.

And thought processes are very much the same. The more one travels along the path to self knowledge the less there is to know intellectually. All that’s needed, at any given time, is made available automatically, without undue effort.

And so much confusion reigns during this intermediate phase. One feels different, knows there is a change, but also appears to have the self same worries and fears that others do; there seems no difference between oneself and one’s peers.

But growth and education go hand in hand, especially when self taught through experience and pain. And soon enough one will begin to disassociate from that which is not theirs, and replicate more closely the mirror of detachment that is their fate.

Keep ever mindful of this important information. Remain a true observer of yourself throughout each day, and one day soon you will be free of all the lower reactions that plague mankind.
