Throughout history there have always been examples of leadership profound. But true leadership is rare, and oddly viewed as something elusive, reserved for the few. In fact it represents a quality dormant in us all. And it is our individual responsibility to awaken this inner reserve of power and put it to use in our life unique.

For leadership of self is all one needs display, the ability to be true to the very essence within one’s core, and carry through, when it counts, despite contradictory views. This is the hallmark of a leader, someone who has moved from passive surrender to achieve initiation, who has taken control of self and given an indication that there is, within, a higher power whose driving force dictates just how to act in timely fashion.

You have, therefore, at your disposal all you need to be the very leader you have been waiting long and hard to see. There is not another soul who could perform this duty in the manner that you, yourself, know is just.

Take hold of your life and live this forgotten dream. Lead by example and be clear about what you do believe. Have opinions, make your mark, speak your truth with flair. Be unafraid to make mistakes; all good leaders have had their share.

Time has long passed since the days when idols walked the earth, demigods, gurus, saints; why should we make distinctions? We are all capable of greatness and, indeed, it is a destined course for each of us to realise that, deep within, we have the very fibre of the qualities that such figures grand historically portrayed. Become a leader of yourself and own your life, and make it count, and you will be amazed.
