And now we speak of different things, those things which are often hard to say, the truths which filter in through tiny slats at dawn of day. We speak of hidden secrets, those tales which never pass from tongues to lips, that are never shared for fear of repercussions.

These very issues hold the key to all one’s future fair. Freeing oneself from the past allows one to truly breathe the air of present strength, and delve into the now.

Clean your closets, speak with confidence, allow all currents to flow. Do not fight against the tides of inevitability, go out on a limb and speak your mind. The aftereffects are never what one would have thought to find. And often, what seems impossible to admit to someone else only appears that way throughout the long dry spell of silence where burdens have been heavy. Letting go of the load is never quite so weighty.

Now you may think that some things are better left unsaid, or that one particular issue is far too burdensome to be shed. But each and every one of us deserves to live in peace. Mistakes are part of living and lessons learned invite reflection upon one’s soul, and much good does come of this also. And yes, others often find what needs be said to be disturbing. But much of what you think was hidden was already known before the telling to some degree, and in that enforced silence others too have found a restlessness and fear of facing their own reactions to the truth which will ensue.

Never is a mountain too steep to climb if one looks at each step in isolation. Live in the present and free yourself from restraints which were never meant to keep you in the valley far below.
