What does it mean to be joyful? What truly gives you joy? Is it something tangible, or rather an elusive quality which flitters by? Happiness is not the same, as it can easily be bought, and endures so long as time is occupied in this temporal sport. And what of bliss, and how can this be so defined?
Are these words mere trifles of language gone awry? In fact, these three are all related and one builds upon another well, and experience has taught that as one begins to understand oneself and be content with self, that the earlier definition makes way for a deepening consciousness and fuller expression of satisfaction in one’s life.
And so it is that as a child one learns quite early on that good behaviour is rewarded, and a short-lived happiness ensues. And as we grow and mature, and find our calling, joy is known, which is lasting and fulfilling in its role. And if one thus continues to grow, and learn the ways of spiritual endeavour, a sense of blissful existence begins to infiltrate one’s core, exuding into the everyday and living in one’s pores, despite and because of all that thus occurs.
Neither joy nor sorrow will shake from centered stance the timeless bliss of being, of knowing at a glance just what one needs to know in order to amply serve the highest good of everyone with verve.
So make it now your quest to discover for yourself the true meanings of happiness and joy and bliss, and delve within to realise that what you really seek is not without, is not external to yourself at all, but is in fact the demonstration of your creative expression and contribution of your soul.
