Sometimes life is difficult to comprehend, and plans made in good faith are lost to searching winds which take before they offer alternatives so rare. But blessed are souls who commit to a course of action planned, and then have the patience, humility and grace to change. Flexibility is an invaluable skill which far out ways the desire and longing one has for stability and security, both of which carry little weight in reality.
What is meant by these words? How can one gain long-lasting security in a world where everything is growth and change? The answer is found within. It is the intangible, the elusive strength and power that will win the race to self enlightenment. There is nothing more important to understand than the art of being true to self, of speaking from the heart and knowing just what is needed at any given time.
How confusing life can seem when what is sensed as real is merely a figment of a collective imagination, and yet the truth lies hidden well from view, unattainable at first, subdued. But this is just the way it is, and it does make sense. The more important something is the less it invades our time and space.
Think of love and purpose, a destiny so profound. These are dreams we all hold dear and yet they are nowhere to be found. One cannot take a walk and pick up along the way a bit of love or purpose here or there without involving oneself in an interplay with one’s environment, without giving of oneself.
But there are many other more tangible results to be gained, such as picking up a pebble on the beach. This is fact, but is it real? Does it really reach the mark, or teach us what we need to know? Possessions count for naught unless one also flows with what is sight-unseen.
