The elements are harsh to human flesh, and when one ventures forth without protection, a savage beating thus ensues and takes a hold. And though this beating may not always be evidenced at the time, sometime later, down the track, all the accumulated negligence will become known.
And this simple message will ring true to many folk who have learned from a dispassionate youth, that what is set aside today will only rear its head more ferociously in later years. And this is so for all the short-term plans we make, and the blind eye turned to destined fate. We can so choose to change the course of our own lives, if we but invest time in the now to become wise to that which does offend and cause distress, such as time spent too long in sun, or in a darkened cave. Balance is the key, and all our experiences serve as preparation for an ultimate life of health and verve.
But, in order to partake of joyful plans, one must heed the lessons learned, and take a stand for that which represents the highest need, and discourage in its path the vice of greed. Selflessness is ever the path to letting go, and this is difficult to master, especially when one has so much love to give to self, and this takes time. Loving self is not often a familiar rhyme.
So be patient with yourself and nurture well all the aspects of the who you know inside. And take comfort in the fact that time will heal, and the harsh will be no more; you will be freed.
Listen and observe and understand at every waking moment; all the long lost knowledge is awaiting your transformation, soon to come.
