27 March
Distractions come from every source, and are many in their guises, destined to reek havoc with the minds of men confused as to priorities to take, and those to lose.
And how are we to develop, well, the strength of spirit so within, in order to thus overcome these lesser things? Surely progress has been made since the dawn of time began? Yes, but now the task is more complex than then. Gadgets, toys, even tools of trade bombard our every hour, a myriad of ways to keep us from ourselves. Busy we become, and time is shorter every day. How are we to sort and prioritise this way?
Take a shopping bag and wander from room to room, select the few essentials you need the most, and take to broom to clear the way ahead with all that’s left. Soon you’ll understand the importance of water and bread. This is not to say that earthly goods are not of value. Indeed so many help us accomplish so much more. But oftentimes we get caught upon the treadmill, day by day, and forget to think, and discriminate between what is right for us, and that which only serves to block the flow of creative juices which seek expression in this realm.
Do not compromise yourself for any earthly thing. Rather take yourself aside, and choose wisely of what you’ll bring on your destined journey, for it is long and often hard. Free the shackles, keep your spring in step, and guard against the norm, for it is not designed for you. Break from shell and realise a brighter, lighter you.
