What attracts man to a life of gluttony? Why does he always hanker after more? And why does the attainment of his desires leave him wanting? The search for meaning and thirst for knowledge have always been paramount. The difficulty has always been where to look to find the hidden treasure eagerly sought. And often, when the true message remains elusive, earthly pleasures have become a poor substitute. But, if we know such pleasures to be just that, why do we bury ourselves in the fact? Surely there are other paths to take on our journey to the centre of the universe?

Be careful not to lose yourself in fantasy. Illusion lies everywhere waiting to tempt you away from yourself. To be a master or a slave is your choice. There is no in between. Either you become empowered, or you will be dominated by the machine of unreality.

Search for what you truly seek. Do not become sidetracked. Remain determined and positive despite the worldly fears which spread like wildfire without a cause. All the hype and terror inflicted upon the mass of men are smokescreens designed to keep you from the truth.

Do not listen to rumour or spread such messages yourself. Keep a healthy degree of skepticism at all times. Filter out the negativity, and skim off bits of scum, to leave behind small fragments of the truth with which to piece together reality.

Read widely, and listen to opposing views. Understand that there are many shades of grey, and try walking in another’s shoes so you may empathise with your fellow companions. Do not allow yourself to be swept along by mass hysteria. Remain detached, composed and peaceful all the while.
