Flowers blooming vibrantly reflect light’s different rays, and together, combine to produce a brilliant display. Variety truly is nature’s marvel tall, and so it is that within the human kingdom such differences abound.

Yet, when it comes to one another and our unique manners and ways, we are not always so welcoming of individuality. Conformity is regarded highly, and spells safety and belonging. But, as much as we might try to hide our differences, we are as varied as the stars that grace our skies.

Embrace your individual traits and love your flaws. Be open to the possibility that being you will open doors to true sharing with others and an honesty unheralded before. Marvel at your willingness to be raw, and thus stamp out the need to be a carbon-copy of society.

Society is a mixing pot, no less, of different races, creeds and faiths, and within these distinctive groups still more differentiation exists, until one singles out all people separately, united in our humanity, but unique to the very last.

So, when next you come upon another traveller on the path, stop to admire the makings of a blossoming flower, the human being you would have otherwise avoided. Rejoice in our diversity without the need to apologise for one’s apparent lack or defect, or another’s so-called ignorance.

We are a colourful collection of a species seeking meaning and growth towards enlightenment for all. Keep your spirits high and venture forth with surety, forever grateful for our external forms, without which we would otherwise appear so uniform.
