Perfection is an attitude of mind, often misguided, confused and ill defined. It is a state of being, naturally confessed, but sadly also an evil upon which all things are gauged and incorrectly, unjustly measured against a false expectation of oneself.

The term perfect in one’s imperfection is more aptly coined to give a sense that one and all have a place in rhyme, and to indicate the presence of both good and ill, the yin and yang of each striving for a balance, harmonious and centered still.

It is difficult to imagine perfection in any other way. For there are always opposites to balance a display. Nowhere is there such a sight displayed for all to see where unanimously all would thus agree that there are no weaknesses to be found. Nowhere is perfection absolutely sound.

And only those among us who seek to justify every moment of their lives, who seek inordinate amounts of praise, could argue that the need for perfection far out ways all else. You see, just doing something for the love of doing so is enough, just trying something for the first is accomplishment alone. Certainly one can improve, and learn and grow, but never is it wise to do so at the expense of the sheer joy of expressing oneself hence.

Improve your skill, take pride in all you do. But do not be too harsh on yourself. If one were to succeed in everything one did, there would be no enjoyment in anything at all. All would seem monotonous, and an absolute bore.

Find just where your talents really lie, and pursue these with unbridled joy.
