Admiration of others’ talents and attributes is a humbling quality for one so self absorbed. But, when left in the hands of one whose self esteem is low, then admiration becomes another reason to stay put and cease to grow.

We often spend our days idly waiting for a call, some magical occurrence to break the spell of self doubt tall. But reality is different, and there is no sense at all in waiting for another soul to rescue us from pain; help is there, granted, but it is far from that which can be gained by self initiation and an iron will.

It is unacceptable to pitch one’s self image so low, as there is no reason to do so. We are all created equally unique, and capable of greatness, despite and because of adversity.

Interestingly we often admire in another talents which we wish we had ourselves. Oddly enough those talents are in fact strongly held, latent deep within, awaiting an opportune moment to make an appearance bold and everlasting. And when this time arrives, as surely it will, those in whom we noticed these talents already displayed will be seen as weaker than once they may have appeared; theirs are different talents dormant which await rebirth.

So the weak are often strong, and the strong are often weak, until we are able to observe the soul spark of each who travels somewhat along the path of wisdom, and learns to open their hearts to wider possibilities than those which have hitherto been the case.

So spend your time, from today, on becoming who you truly are, and cease to gaze so intently upon a distant star which may seem bright. The inner star you hold within is infinitely lighter and grows stronger every night.
