A Daily Message

24 May

In the last few moments that have passed in front of you, can you now recall the very details as they did ensue? How much time is spent in observing, everyday, the very act of living out your life this way? Subconsciously there is a memory of every fine detail, but in your waking moments very little is thus registered, and the select pieces of this puzzle so remembered are distorted beyond repair.

What does this tell us about the lengths to which we’ll go to pay attention to ourselves and our lives in tow? Why is it that we remember well the idiosyncrasies of others, the silly things they do, and yet have so little understanding of our own contributions few?

This thought bears investigation and meditation long. We must begin to take responsibility for our song, and come to know intimately every note we sing, the intonation, subtleties, and power from within. And only by close examination of ourselves can we hope to be accountable for our years. Then our lives will stand for something more than memories bland. We will know ourselves as finely as a grain of sand within a sea of sun-drenched shores where footprints mark a trail, and seashells echo distant notes of another tale.

Hold on to your every moment, every move you make. Find yourself absorbed in life at every turn, and you will wake from a walking slumber and feel revived again, all you’d ever wondered, questioned, would be answered then. And if you practise daily to treasure every mark of time, soon you will transcend this life and know a timeless time where you shall live forever free, limitless, eternal; you will simply be.
