16 April

The gales that blow of wooly seas are menacing to confront, especially when one is travelling in the opposite direction to the front. But what of changing course mid stream, and taking two steps back? You have the chance then to review your previous journey and perhaps change tack to forward on again, but this time of a different view. There are many benefits of this altered hue.

So do not always hurry onward bypassing all so fast. So much can be gleaned by occasionally letting nature take control. When all seems lost and your charted course has been thrown to the winds of time, take it as a blessing that you have newfound time to journey with a blindfold, to experience a mystery rare. For in the reality of everyday the mundane is everywhere.

Accept your lot this day, and thank the elements for their fine display; a storm, and then a wild bush fire, and then the calm of a newborn day. Unpredictable is nature, but fitting in the end, able to so aptly balance in one hand all the needs of life on earth to heal such gaping wounds, to harmonise all opposing threats and bring the focus centered too.

And we are just the same if only we would let things flow, take the road less travelled and put experience ahead of ambition so that when the odd occasion greets us with a challenge strong we will have the means to meet it head on.

Take a risk this life, and don’t regret the past. Take a stand and show your colours, fly them proudly atop a mast.
