Gently rustling in the breeze, warm the summer’s day, these few images conjure up a myriad of things, memories stir of yesteryear and all life brings.
The truth is that we have so many occasions upon which to reflect, and each has its own peculiar uniqueness and moments abstract. But what do connections made to past occurrences mean to us today? What use are these symbols if we concentrate on the now? Do they only serve to take us back in time to reminisce about what has been, and do they create a bind?
What if these bold memories serve to drive us forward? What if their meaning to us now has naught of the past to behold? Think of times when you have lifted another person dear, someone who is close to you, who benefited from your cheer. Is this not another instance of a gift of love and life, and has not this remained in memory yours, and so your friend’s, with fond recollections of a time long passed?
Think, then, of each encounter, both with yourself in nature, and again in the company of another, as an opportunity to sow a seed of loving thought for future cheer, and know that as you pour forth all you can in service to this world, rich will be your growing store of memories to unfold.
And all this life is but a memory of your deeds, and how you thus engaged another and how you helped those to be freed. The more you give of goodness, the less there is to fear, and the more another will do likewise, until all there is, is oneness, purity and good cheer.
