Daring as the beast thus races,
Looking for a game to prey,
And pouncing as it does upon
The one who wants to play,

Dominating so the scene,
And leaving marks so rare,
The beast is full, and thus content
To rest, and breathe of air,

Pure and fine as the sun declines,
To show its face e’er more,
But beckons to the beast to sleep,
And follow Universal Law,

And in the morn when he will wake,
To find his nature tamed,
And rather than the taking,
Will he give, and be renamed.
