A Daily Message

08 July

Winter is a state of mind, and its opposite is too. In fact the weather has very little impact on one who can live in the moment and appreciate the day for what it is and what it represents in totality.

For centuries now the weather has been the subject of much idle chatter, and oftentimes it has been blamed for misadventures and gloomy spirits. But if we take a different view and see the day portrayed as idyllic for today and what is required for the greater whole, it may not necessarily bring rains to break a drought, or sun to energise the sprouting of crops from seed, but it will be what is intended in the bigger plan, according to a universal rhythm stepped down for this land.

So spend less effort on determining the forecasts for tomorrow, and more time on appreciating just what is occurring now. Rain can be refreshing, and grey clouds can give a sense of hibernation welcomed. Heat can give one pause to rest and soak up the days events.

The seasons are another indicator of the passing time. But when one loses care for running such a tight ship as to bind oneself to clocks and watches with such precision, then the changing climate becomes an evolution of constant change. It can be a great surprise to be caught in a sudden storm, and freeing to the spirit to be unprepared from time to time.

Be not so rigid as to expect that things should flow according to your timetable. Instead, let go, and you will be amazed at how much more enjoyable each day will become, and never will you feel glum because of influences over which you have no control. You will be free to drift with the tide of change, and in so doing you shall find joy in all the days.
