Well it has been often said that man is not alone, and in one’s efforts to realise just what this means, one’s thrown into dark despair and lingers for a time suspended in a place where one could argue one is lost to all. This is one of many contrasts, odd extremes, which find their way into life and living, and work out in everyday.

But polar opposites are closer than we might have thought; in fact, in some respects, they represent the truth intact. For what are differences, but lessons to help one learn, in truth, just what is and what is not, and how to meet in middle ground, and know what’s sound.

Black and white are, neither one, a colour in this realm, but without them we would not have vision to thus see the myriad of colours hued and brilliant of a rainbowed sky.

So take your life and look at all the aspects from which you shirk, and then collect all fragments of those efforts good and true, and bundle them together, and mix them with a brush, and take a canvas fresh and clean and paint your essence there.

You will see, without a doubt, an image of the self which beckons you to be the all you know you are inside, and better for the balance of the opposites you own. Represent your selves as one, and embrace the quirks beset to give you markings thus unique and special to your needs. And go out into life with confidence restored, that in your greater wisdom all colours will thus blend, and fine the painting will emerge, one which you will be proud to hang.
